Answers to frequently asked questions about conversion
What files can be uploaded, whether you need to register, where the photos are stored and why the result sometimes differs from the original — answers about the current version of the site.
Is it possible to convert for free and without an account?
Yes, registration and payment are not required in the current version. The conversion is performed in the browser. You need to upload files to the queue, select the result and click the processing button.
What formats are available at the output?
JPG, PNG, WebP and PDF. JPG, PNG or WebP can be obtained from the original PDF. Saving in HEIC, AVIF, BMP, TIFF and GIF has not yet been implemented, although many of these formats are accepted as input.
Is it possible to select different results in one batch?
Yes. The site shows the format of each file and a separate selection of the result. The general switch allows you to assign the format of the entire queue. For a common PDF, all images need to be assigned a PDF.
Are photos uploaded to the server?
No, the conversion works in the tab memory. The original photos and results are not sent to the server. After updating the page, the queue is cleared; already downloaded files remain on the device. For more information about session statistics, see the privacy page.
Are animations and metadata saved?
No. GIF conversion uses the first frame and TIFF conversion uses the first page. Original EXIF and GPS metadata are not copied to the new files, and HDR preservation is not guaranteed. Keep the originals separately.
Is it possible to return the original quality by reverse conversion?
No, it's not. If the data is already lost during saving, changing the format will not restore it. PNG after JPG will not return the deleted details. For a new version of the result, use the source file, not a chain of already processed copies.
Do I need a program on my phone?
No installation is required. Need a browser with support for the functions used. If memory is low, reduce the number of files in the bundle. If a particular AVIF is not decoded, try another modern browser.
