How to translate HEIF to PDF

Add a HEIF or HEIC file: the format will be determined by the content. Select the result for each snapshot or the entire queue and start the conversion. Support for a specific variant of HEIF is checked during decoding; the extension itself does not guarantee compatibility.

When to choose a PDF

PDF is convenient for documents, scans and sending multiple photos in one file. Each photo occupies a separate page; proportions and orientation are preserved. Inside the PDF, a high-quality JPEG is used.

Frequent questions

How to combine HEIC into one PDF?

Select PDF, then "One Shared Document". Add photos in the desired order: you can move them up and down in the queue. Each photo will become a separate page.

Is it possible to get separate PDF files?

Yes, the "Separate PDF for each" mode is enabled by default. Finished documents can be downloaded one at a time or by ZIP archive.

Is it possible to copy text from a photo to a PDF?

No, it's not. The converter puts the image in a PDF and does not recognize the text. The photo of the document remains an image.

What new formats are supported?

BMP, GIF, static AVIF and regular TIFF can be converted to JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF. Only the first frame is saved for a GIF, and the first page is saved for a TIFF. TIFF: RGB, grayscale or palette, LZW compression, ZIP, PackBits or uncompressed; BigTIFF, tiles, CMYK and fax compression are not supported yet. AVIF requires a browser with support for decoding it.

Where are my photos uploaded to?

Nowhere. The conversion is performed in your browser. We do not send photos to the server and do not save them in the account. When the page is closed or refreshed, the queue and results disappear.

What limitations does the converter have?

Up to 20 files at a time, up to 30 MB each and up to 100 MB in total. Images up to 50 megapixels are supported. The speed depends on the device. On a phone, it's better to start with a small package and keep the tab open.

Is the location and date of the shooting saved?

EXIF, geolocation, and other metadata are not transferred. HDR and additional Live Photo frames are not saved: the result is a normal static image. The originals remain unchanged.
