What is HEIF in the iPhone camera
HEIF is a photo storage format. On the iPhone, such images are often found as HEIC files; they can be converted to JPG to send.
Why does the camera keep the HEIF
The "High Efficiency" mode uses HEIF for photos. In the camera settings on a supported device, you can select the "Most compatible": new images will be saved in JPEG. The setting does not re-encode previously taken photos.
How to translate an existing photo
Select the source file on the site, check the format in the queue and specify JPG. If the system selection has already transferred a JPEG, the converter will show this. To transfer the original, you can pre-save it to "Files".
HEIF in PNG and PDF
PNG saves the decoded image without additional lossy compression. PDF is suitable for sending photos as a document, including several images on separate pages. Saving to HEIF on this site has not yet been implemented.
